you can easily mod the game:
\data\strings.py (open with notepad or something)
contains all ingame text, which you can edit as long as you don't touch any " , ( [ and so on, you know.
in \gfx\ you find all the images the game uses,
if you know how to draw, you can simply edit them. in most cases you have to keep the dimensions of course. if you scroll down to older posts on this blog, you find a xara file, which i used as a template for many things.
again, if you can read or have some computer or programming skills, look in the main.py and adjust stuff to your likings.
